 taversity.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=166&proposalid=16937\nCost has quietly
turned into a governance problem. The FinOps Foundation's 2026 State of
FinOps report found that 73% of enterprises said their AI costs exceeded o
riginal projections, and Uber's CTO burned through the company's en
tire 2026 AI coding budget in four months. The underlying cause is that fal
ling prices don't mean falling bills. EY reports that a customer-servic
e interaction cost about $0.04 in 2023 and costs roughly $1.20 in 2026 once
it involves tool retrieval, planning, and subagents. The stakes are high:
Gartner forecasts that 40% of AI agent projects will be cancelled by 2027 b
ecause of cost overruns alone.AI is moving too quickly for every important
issue to be anticipated months before a conference. Almost weekly we're
seeing new security incidents, regulatory developments, corporate policy c
hanges, unexpected agent behaviors, changing economics, and emerging govern
ance challenges.\n\nOur Late-Breaking News ensures you leave the confe
rence informed about the issues that matter right now.\nThese informal 30-m
inute, small-group sessions will ask questions and address developments eme
rging immediately before and during the conference. Each conversation will
be facilitated by an experienced practitioner or expert, with participants
encouraged to share questions, experiences, concerns, and perspectives.&nbs
p;Let's have some timely, candid conversations that help separate the s
ignal from the noise—and translate the latest developments into pract
ical implications for your AI and data governance work.\n\n
