FAQs
Q. What is DGIQ? And what is AIGov?
A.The Data Governance & Information Quality Conference (DGIQ) is the industry’s leading event dedicated entirely to Data Governance and Information Quality. AI Governance Conference (AIGov) is DATAVERSITY’s in-person event focused on the rapidly evolving world of AI Governance, including responsible AI, oversight, risk management, governance frameworks, and real-world implementation.
Together, DGIQ + AIGov brings these conversations into one place for four days of practical education, peer-to-peer learning, and honest discussions with the people doing this work every day.
Q. When and where will this event take place?
A. DGIQ East + AIGov will take place November 16-19, 2026, at the Omni Providence in Providence, Rhode Island.
Q. Can you tell me more about the conference venue?
A. DGIQ + AIGov 2026 will be held at the Omni Providence Hotel in downtown Providence. T.F. Green Airport is a 15-20 minute drive, and the Amtrak station is a 10-minute walk. Direct Amtrak service connects Providence with Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. Flying into Boston? Take the MBTA Silver Line to South Station, then Amtrak or the MBTA Commuter Rail to Providence. Trains run hourly and take about 39 minutes. Providence in November is genuinely worth the trip beyond the conference.
WaterFire lights up the downtown rivers with bonfires and live music, Federal Hill's Italian neighborhood is one of the best dining destinations in New England, and Newport's Gilded Age mansions are a 30-minute drive down the coast. Block an extra day. You'll want it.
Q. What makes this event so special?
A. DATAVERSITY events are more than just regular business conferences – they’re an ongoing community and network of data professionals from across the globe. We continue to focus our events on educational programs that emphasize peer-to-peer learning through case studies, practical experience, and in-person networking.
Now, with DGIQ again joining forces with AIGov, we’re bringing even more insights and actionable strategies together for people just like you – those ready to take their data-driven organizations to the next level!
Q. Who attends?
A. Good question! In terms of industries, every major sector of the economy is represented, though the largest industry groups are usually financial services, insurance, health care, online commerce, and government. The range of job titles and functions is also very diverse, including chief data officers, VP and director-level IT executives, data architects, analysts, auditors, and consultants. And increasingly, this DGIQ event attracts managers from “the business side,” who now make up almost 50% of the audience.
Q. How do I get to speak at the conference?
A. Most of the sessions are selected through a Call for Presentations (CFP) process at this link.
Additionally, some sessions, such as Keynotes and Panels, are developed through specific invitations to the speakers. There are also some vendor speaking sessions that are identified on the program agenda as “sponsored.”
Q. How do I become a sponsor?
